Roger Peñarroya
Roger peñarroya was born in Barcelona in 1981. He combined his studies in systems engineering with his first professional task in the world of ITs in the company Retevisión.
Once he finished his studies, he joined the ITC section in the public health management company called Gesaworld. In this company, he developed several projects aimed at improving the management of public health centers through the ITs. Amongst others, he developed an application for the Government of Panama for controlling the demography of the country. He also structured the international intranet of Gesaworld using VPN technology amongst the different headquarters. It was in this company where he developed his first Virtual Learning Platform (LP Campus Gesaworld) in collaboration with UOC.
In 2003 and 204, he developed different projects in TIC consultancy for several companies as freelance.
In 2004, he started his last professional stage before CREA.CAT as coordinator and head of the engineering department in Fundació Televall. In this company, he developed several projects aimed at promoting the ICT in the Ripollès region.
At the moment, Roger Peñarroya combines his task as Minister of New Technologies in the Ripollès region with the coordination of projects in CREA.CAT.
Òscar Peñarroya

Óscar Peñarroya was born in Barcelona in 1974. After a year of physics studies at university, he decided to give it up in order to devote himself entirely to music. He got his degree in composition and orchestration and studied piano, double-bass, singing, choir conducting and film scoring among others.
He is a foundational member of the Catalan musical theatre company L’Oca Underground, with whom he has collaborated as a performer, composer, orchestrator and musical director. He wrote the music for L’apassionant carrera artística de Marta Gelabert, with book by M. Carme Mateu, a musical premiered at Teatre Zorrilla in Badalona in May 2003 and performed in Barcelona in 2004.
He is the composer of the opera El Bosc de Farucàrun, also with book by M. Carme Mateu. This work won the second edition of the Contest “Òpera per a Secundària” (opera for high school) organised by Institut Municipal d’Educació, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona and Teatre Lliure. This opera was premiered at Teatre Lliure (Fabià Puigserver) in April 2004
He wrote the piece Recordant Robin Hood dedicated to Diaula school of music. It was premiered at Palau de la Música in Barcelona in April 2005.
He did the arrangements and orchestrations for the cantata Història de Catalunya amb cançons, with original music by Antoni Ros-Marbà. It was dedicated to Coral Xicalla in their 25th anniversary.
He wrote the soundtrack of the short films Todo suena mejor en francés, Pablo/Victoria and Paso de peatones, and also of the film En silencio.
He has also composed music for corporate videos and various material for Panasonic, RACC, Figueres-Mutamut, Uriac, Salmos, etc. He has also worked as a sound effect editor in the documentary film The forgotten.
His latest work is the musical Per molts anys, with book by Cèsar Aparício. It was premiered in 2007 at Teatre Zorrilla in Badalona.
At the moment he is devoted to teaching, choir conducting and composition for theatre and cinema.

José Manuel López

José Manuel López Reyes was born in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) in 1983. He is currently finishing his degree in English Philology in the URV (Universitat Rovira i Virgili). Although he specializes in English, he’s also studying 2nd year of Italian and 3rd year of German in the above-mentioned university.
As well as for CREA.CAT, he works as a translator for Fundació Televall since 2005 and also makes sporadic translations as freelance.
